In this final installment on How To Make Money From Your Blog I’ll discuss the affiliate program.
Now, you may be wondering, “How can I run an affiliate program for my blog?”
I’m glad you asked. There’s something called pay per click. Now I’m not talking about Google, Yahoo search or MSN Adcenter. You can run a pay per click campaign using certain affiliate software.
Think about it, why not be your own google? You can set a campaign for affiliates that drives traffic to your blog or website for that matter using just pay per click.
The software that I use for this and recommend is called IDev Affiliate. Your affiliates can use banners you supply, text links, HTML pages or anything else. They put up the banners on their sites, email their friends or personal list or any other way they choose to promote your blog.
What’s cool is just like PPC you pay them only for the actual click. You can set the pay out for anything you want. Who wouldn’t promote something that pays them solely on the click?
How does this benefit you? Well, you receive traffic to your blog where you already have monetizing strategies in place. As we discussed in previous lessons this could be in the form of Adsense, A product of your own, an affiliate product and the opt-in form.
